GETTING THERE


La Casita is located near Alcover in North East Spain which is closest to Reus airport (15-20 km or approximately 20 minutes drive) which is used by low cost UK flight operators

… and not far from Barcelona airport (100km, 70 minutes drive.)

The exact address of the House will be sent to ticketholders two weeks before the event

By train from Barcelona

If you are coming from Barcelona, there are trains from Estación de Sants to Alcover (see table below). You can also reach Alcover from Reus train station.

Once in Alcover, you can either take a taxi or enjoy our shuttle service.

A taxi ride is about 25 minutes and will cost around 8 Euros per passenger per way; send us an email if you’d like the phone numbers of these taxi companies, you get to meet lovely Catalan drivers.

The shuttle is an ‘on request’ service, so if you plan on using it you must pre- book by the 5th of May 2019 sending us an email at lacasitaweekend@gmail.com Every shuttle can host up to 8 people.

The shuttle will be running the following services:

From Alcover train station to La Casita

Thursday 9th of May: at 14.00, 16.00 and 19.00

Friday 10th of May: at 14.00, 16.00 and 19.00

From La Casita to Alcover train station:

Sunday 12 of May: at 13.00 the first shuttle leaves, we might do up to 3 runs if pre-booked

Monday 13 of May: at 10.00 we might do up to 2 runs if pre-booked.

By car:


Driving to ALCOVER: •Alcover is 14km from Exit 11 on the A-7/A-2 out of Barcelona and 13km from Reus on the C-14/C-37. •To arrive to Can Joferbi from Alcover: •Take Exit Alcover from the C-14, and continue following signs to Alcover. •Once in Alcover, follow signs to Mont Rai •Continue through the town of Alcover and take a right after the church. •Take the TV7041 towards Mont Rai. •Joferbi is at Km 7,5 of the Alcover-Valls road (TV7041)

Getting from the airports by car or taxi to La Casita:


Car rental:

Cost will vary according to named driver and car size but most companies offer car hire from around £12 a day. 

There is parking at La Casita so please contact us in advance if you know you will be parking


Taxi from Reus Airport:

Taxis from Reus Airport take approximately 20 minutes and are estimated to cost around €30.

The official Reus airport taxis are white with a blue stripe on the door. Most of them are hatchbacks and will comfortably take 4 people and their suitcases. There are also larger taxis available that will accommodate 5, 6 or 7 passengers. The taxi rank is right outside the arrivals doorway. The pickup point is marked by a blue and white sign saying 'taxi' and the word 'taxi' is also painted in white on the road.

The airport taxis operates 24 hours everyday and can be flagged down outside the airport. 


Train from Barcelona airport. 

The train from Barcelona Sants to Alcover takes just under 2 hours and will cost less than €10 for a single. You then take a taxi from Alcover train station to La Casita which will cost less than €15.

Taxi from Barcelona Airport:

Taxis from Barcelona Airport take approximately 1hr 8 minutes and are estimated to cost around €100.

There are always a large number of taxis available at Barcelona Airport. However, they cannot be hailed randomly - it is necessary to join a queue where you will be directed to the next available taxi that it waiting by a staff member in a high visibility jacket. There are taxi ranks outside both Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2). The standard Barcelona taxis are black with yellow sides. 

Uber is back in Barcelona after leaving the city, but Ubers are outnumbered by regular taxis.
